In a round tray greased with a little oil I placed the slices of cake so that there are no gaps between the slices.

METHOD OF PREPARATION:
1.Prepare the dough. Sift the flour into a bowl. Add salt and sugar, mix, then add the yeast and stir again.
2.Add the eggs and butter cubes, then gradually pour the milk until you get a soft dough. If the dough is too dry, add another tablespoon of milk.
3. Knead the dough for 8-10 minutes until it becomes elastic, homogeneous and smooth.
4.Place the dough in a bowl, cover with cling film and let it rise for 1 hour at room temperature.
5.Prepare the filling. Melt the butter and chocolate together in the microwave. Mix well.
6. Sift the cocoa powder and sugar, mix the ingredients.
7.Add the almond powder and mix again.
8. Allow the filling to cool to room temperature until it becomes almost solid.
9. Divide the dough into 2 equal parts.
10. Spread 2 rectangles of 60 * 30 cm.
11. Spread a thin and even layer of filling on each sheet of dough, leaving 1.5 cm on the free edges.
12. Roll the sheets to form a dough bar, cover them with a towel and let them rest for 10 minutes.
13.Cut the dough bars in half lengthwise.
14. Get 4 strips that you place on the tray lined with baking paper and start knitting the cake as shown in the photos below:
15. Cover the cake with cling film and let it rise for 1 hour 30 minutes.
16. Preheat the oven to 180 ° C.
17. Bake the cake for 25-30 minutes, check in 20 minutes and if it is brown, cover it with baking foil and bake for a few more minutes.
18.Prepare the sugar syrup. Combine water and sugar in a saucepan and bring the mixture to a boil. Boil it for a few minutes until the sugar is completely dissolved and remove from the heat.
19. Remove the cake from the oven and grease it with syrup using a pastry brush.
Ingredients cake with walnuts:
For walnut cake dough:
- 1 kg of flour
- 500 ml of milk
- 4 eggs
- 250 gr sugar
- 50 gr butter
- 50 ml oil
- 50 g of fresh yeast
- lemon peel
- a pinch of salt
For the cake with walnut filling:
- 3 tablespoons cocoa
- a vial with rum essence
- 250 g of diced shit
- 250 gr of ground walnuts
- 100 g raisins
- 150 gr sugar
- 4 egg whites.

How to prepare cozonac with walnuts
At least one day before preparation, all ingredients should be kept at room temperature. Make a yeast mayonnaise, a tablespoon of flour and 100 ml of lukewarm milk, which is then allowed to rise in a warm place until it is twice as large. During this time, separate the egg whites from the yolks, and finally rub them with the sugar and a little salt powder until they turn white.
Heat the milk and add over the yolks. Mix the whole composition well until you no longer feel the sugar. Add the essence of rum, lemon peel and orange.
In a large bowl, add 2-3 sifted flour and make a hole in the middle, where you add the milk and mayonnaise. Knead until everything is incorporated. Heat the butter and oil and add a little, until incorporated into the dough. Then cover the dough and leave to rise for about 45 minutes in a warm place.
Whisk the egg whites with sugar. Add cocoa, chopped walnuts and mix the whole composition.
After the dough has risen, divide it in two and divide the first part into two pieces. Put cocoa and walnut mixture on each, and shit is added on top. Roll and knit both rolls. Do the same with the remaining dough.
Subsequently, it is placed in the cake pan, lined with baking paper or greased with oil and lined with coat. Leave to rise for another 30 minutes, then grease with an egg and sprinkle with sugar. Place in the oven for about 45 minutes, until nicely browned on top. In the first half hour, the oven door does not open, so as not to leave the composition.
Chef Scarlatescu's cake recipe. Ingredient:
Mix the yeast with 100 ml of milk and three tablespoons of flour and let the composition grow warm until it doubles in volume.
Boil the milk together with the sugar, then mix until dissolved.
The yolks are rubbed with salt powder.
Put the flour in a bowl and pour one by one, mixing: the yolks, the milk together with the melted sugar and the butter, the candied orange. Knead well until you get a homogeneous, consistent and elastic dough.
