Made two batches - first come out a bit meh but the second one was revelatory. I blame the first batch's mediocrity on either not using enough ginger and turmeric or not pulverizing it enough. I did more of both for the second and got something that looked much more like the picture on the recipe, the first one was paler and more yellow than orange.Be brave, get turmeric stains everywhere, and you will be rewarded.I made this at thanksgiving as a low alcohol option without very high hopes. I was very pleasantly surprised. All my guests loved it as an after dinner but before dessert pick me up. It had immediate effects and got rid of that "probably shouldn't have had that extra scoop of stuffing" feeling. Very refreshing. I started by adding 1.5 cups of tap water and let it sit overnight in an old juice bottle. Then, just before dinner, I poured it into a glass pitcher and added 1.5 cups of club soda. It was just the right amount of sparkling.
